Fall at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark in Lake Geneva, WI means spectacular foliage, time spent with family, crisp cool evenings, apple picking, hayrides… and even waterslides! Although the temperature is taking a dip, you can too. Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark is offering a variety of fall family vacation packages, events, and offerings. Here are 5 (of the many!) reasons to get out there this fall:
1.) Hayrides and waterslides! Book a stay at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark and you and your family can spend the day splashing in the resort’s indoor waterpark (named one of the best indoor waterparks by USA Today’s 10Best!) and then head on over to Dan Patch Stables on the resort grounds to climb aboard the Sleepy Hollow Haunted Hayride every Friday & Saturday, September 28 - October 27. First hayrides of the night are family-friendly for younger children. For those looking for a fright, visit later in the night. The cost is $15 for adults, $8 for children ages 4-10, and children 3 and under are free. This event is cash only. Guests may also take advantage of pony rides at Dan Patch Stable.
There’s also a Haunted Hayride hotel package which includes accommodations, waterpark passes, and hayride tickets (4 passes for a one-bedroom suite, 6 for a two-bedroom).
2.) Amaze N Apples (and some pumpkins, too!). It is apple orchard season! Splash part of the day away in the waterpark and then venture to Royal Oak Farm Orchard to enjoy the only apple tree maze in the country! Guests who book the Amaze N Apples offer receive overnight accommodations, waterpark passes, and passes to Royal Oak Farm (4 passes for a one-bedroom suite, 6 for a two-bedroom).
Royal Oak Farm Orchard is the ONLY orchard in the country with an apple tree maze where you can explore 1.5 miles of trails with nine varieties of apples. They also feature U-pick apples, pumpkins, fresh apple cider donuts, as well as an entertainment area for the whole family with train rides, carousel rides and hay rides. Royal Oak Farm Orchard is located in Harvard, IL just 20 minutes from the resort. Additional fees apply for other activities at the orchard.
Timber Ridge Lodge offers pumpkin decorating for guests every Saturday in October.
3.) Those looking for a not-so-scary fright will delight in Timber Ridge Lodge’s Friday Nights Frights. Every Friday in October bring the family to Timber Ridge for an overnight stay and enjoy themed activities all night long, plus save on your Friday night stay when you book the special Friday offer and start the night off with a welcome treat upon check-in and enjoy apple cider tastings. And don’t forget your costume — there’s a costume contest each Friday until Halloween. The Friday Night Frights package includes overnight accommodations, waterpark passes, a welcome break upon check-in and participation in the costume contest (4 passes for a one-bedroom suite, 6 for a two-bedroom).
4.) No tricks, just treats and a Spooktacular Halloween Birthday Party for Bruce the Moose!
Join us on Sunday, October 28, 10am-2:30pm! Local community members and guests can help us celebrate our beloved mascot's birthday. We're throwing Bruce the Moose a Halloween bash with a costume contest (2:15pm), carnival games, face painting, pumpkin decorating, balloons, arts and crafts, carnival treats, trick-or-treating, and more. Wear your Halloween costume and have a great time. Activities require 1-4 tickets; tickets are $1 each at the door.
5.) And last but not least, enjoy the fall foliage. It only comes around a few weeks out of the year and there’s no place better to enjoy the colorful leaves and crisp autumn breeze than the resort’s 1,300 acre campus in the woodlands of Lake Geneva.
